I have Across Server running on a Windows 10 PC. I have checked that my Bluetooth driver is the windows generic and that there is no other Bluetooth software running on the PC. When I attempt to pair (either my iPhone or iPad) I am prompted to verify the passkey on my device, I click yes and immediately the iOS device says "Connection Unsuccessful make sure PC is turned on and in range". This is odd as Across seems to think that the pairing has been successful and shows the device in the "paired devices" category but the iOS device will never successfully pair and I cannot type to it. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Across and my bluetooth drivers. I have restarted both devices. I'd really like to get this working but I seem to be a little stuck.
Hello, Thanks for your interest in our across. I think there may be no problem. Please try to make BT connection by clicking "Connect" from the popup menu launched by right-click on the icon in Across Center. "Connection Unsuccessful make sure PC is turned on and in range" message will appear when you try to make BT connection from iDevice to PC, which across doesn't support. You have to make BT connection from PC to iDevice. Hope it helps.
For your reference, if Across Client SW works on a client device, across will connect automatically between server and client. However because Across Client for iOS is unavailable, you need the manual connection.
Excellent! For anyone else who run's into the same issue where it appears the iDevice will not connect: assign the device to one of the positions and then follow the PC-iOS pairing instructions above. Thanks so much!
