It would be nice to be able to define a hotkey for a broadcast of a key combination like <Windows>-<L>. That way we could lock all Windows systems with a single key press.
Hi m_d, Agreed. It can be an awesome feature. For example, when the mouse cursor is over the system tray icon, broadcasting typed keys to all clients can be used to lock simultaneously clients and do other useful stuffs. Great idea! Thanks a lot for your suggestion!
I like this idea, and have an idea on how to implement it. Press hotkey combination to enter "broadcast mode" Press number to select a "broadcast group" Press key stroke/strokes to send Press hotkey combination again to leave "broadcast mode" You would first assign your devices to one or more broadcast groups via the Client Device Settings page. This way, you could sent a WIN+L to just your laptops, or type text on both your Across server and your tablet (however you decide to group your devices) This would allow you to perform any keyboard operation you wanted simultaneously on whatever devices you had in your broadcast group... potentially you could even paste text to all of them at once, or even synchronize the mouse movements if desired. If your broadcast hotkey combination is CTRL+ALT+B... you would just enter: CTRL+ALT+B to enter "broadcast mode"... press the number for the broadcast group you created... press WIN+L to lock the devices... press CTRL+ALT+B to leave broadcast mode.
