    across v2.23 Release Note

    Hello, across users!

We are really excited to announce across v2.23 release. In this release, we have modified some parts related with license management, and so license will not be recognized correctly without updating to the new version. Also, you have to update across on both across Server and Clients.

We planned to enhance the following features/issues mentioned in this posting – https://community.acrosscenter.com/index.php?threads/wishlist-for-v2-23.450/#post-2811:
We have finished almost all of them except the file drag-and-drop in Linux. We will support the Linux file drag-and-drop at the earliest. Besides, we fixed some bugs including several critical ones and optimized some parts. Therefore this update will give you much flawless experience.

    1. Fullscreen Mode for Mirroring Screen: This update fully supports the fullscreen mode for a mirroring screen. Please note the keyboard hotkey to switch a mirroring screen between window mode and fullscreen mode as follow:
    2. android Client: From android 11, due to the security policy of Google Play Store, android Client app's fileserver cannot access to all files on your device. For example, files on SDCARD will not be allowed to access. It is not applied to android 10 or lower version users. Usual users would not need the feature though. If you want to access all files on your android 11+ device, please follow the below steps:
    a. Install across Client app as mentioned in our FAQ Q2.1 (instead of installing from Play Store).
    b. In your device, open "Settings" > "Apps" > "Across Client" > "Permissions" > "Storage" > choose "Allow management of all files".

    3. macOS 12 Monterey: Unfortunately Bluetooth stack in macOS 12 seems to be ruined and across Bluetooth communication does not work properly at all. From this thread in the developer forum – https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/694146, almost every applications seem to be affected. We have no choice but to request Apple to fix Bluetooth issues. For your reference, across has the same binary for macOS 11 and 12. Therefore if you have any Bluetooth issues in macOS 12 Monterey, please consult to Apple instead of us, or stay in macOS 11 or lower.

If you have any questions about this update, please feel free to leave it in our forum.
    Thank you.

    [OS X 10.7 & 10.8] License Activation/Deactivation Problem
From some months ago, our license solution vendor would update their system to make secure connection between their server and your computer with TLS (Transport Layer Security) that works based on SSL certificate. However OS X 10.7 and 10.8 would be too outdated to verify their new SSL certificate and across License activation/deactivation cannot make secure connection to their server and therefore activation/deactivation ends with "Internet Connection Error". For your information, our license solution vendor does not provide their updated solution for OS X 10.8 or earlier any more.

With this problem, in OS X 10.7 and 10.8, we are unable to activate/deactivate a product key with online license management and must use only offline license management.

If your across Server is OS X 10.7 or 10.8, please follow the below steps after v2.23 update:
    1. Deactivate your product key with offline license management.
    2. Activate your product key with offline license management.

    * If you have any problem in getting a response xml file during offline activation/deactivation, please send a mail attaching the request xml file to support@acrosscenter.com and we will respond with the response xml file.

    Thank you.

across v2.29b Release Note (for across for Linux)

Previously there was a critical problem in pairing a Linux PC as across Server and a Windows client. v.2.29b for Linux fixed the issue. However, you have to patch BlueZ (Linux Bluetooth stack) on your Linux PC. If you want to use across in the situation, please read our Manual. For other environment that you have no plan to use a Windows client for your Linux across Server, you do not need this BlueZ patch, but update to v2.29b is strongly recommended for other minor bug fixes.

If you have any questions about this update, please feel free to leave it in our forum.
    Thank you.
